How to judge a provider for yourself
We do not publish reviews on this site. Use the steps below to check any hot water tank provider, whether we refer you or you find one yourself.
Do your homework
What to look for in a review.
Ask for licences
Ask for the plumber's trades qualification and, for gas work, the Technical Safety BC licence or authorization. Ask about their Richmond business licence.
Ask for insurance
Ask for proof of current liability insurance. A reputable provider can give it to you without fuss.
Get a written quote
The quote should list the tank, labour, permits, disposal and any upgrades. Compare quotes that list the same items.
Read independent reviews
Check reviews on public sites where the reviewer can be seen, and read the negative ones too. Look for how the provider responded.
Confirm permits and warranty
Ask who pulls the permit and what warranty covers parts and labour. Keep the paperwork.
